Milk Round Deliveries: Convenient and Reliable Gas Supply

(For customers using 3 or more cylinders a month)

Our milk round delivery service is the easiest and most efficient way to receive your cellar gas supplies. One of our drivers will visit your premises every two or four weeks to replace any empty cylinders. After each delivery, you will receive a written delivery note or invoice confirming the cylinders delivered and collected. This method is our most popular service and has made us well-known for reliability.

How It Works

1. Initial Consultation: We start by agreeing on your required stock level for the cellar. One of our team members will survey your cellar to recommend the appropriate cylinder size, considering any limitations such as cellar location or size.

2. First Delivery: Once the cylinder size and stock level are agreed upon, we will deliver your initial gas supply on our first visit.

3. Regular Deliveries: Our expert delivery drivers will visit your premises at the agreed interval, checking your gas levels and replacing empty cylinders to maintain your agreed stock level. You can rely on our drivers to manage your gas supply without needing to place regular orders.

Order For Next Day Delivery: Flexible Gas Supply for Lower Usage Customers

Not everyone needs scheduled deliveries. Whether due to personal preference or lower usage, some businesses prefer to order gas as needed. We accommodate this approach to give you full control over your gas supply.

When you need a delivery, simply call, email or WhatsApp our office. If our office is closed, you can leave a voicemail. We offer next day delivery across Pembrokeshire and parts of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire via our distribution partners ensuing timely deliveries of your beer gas when you need it.

Emergency and Backup Services

• Emergency Deliveries: In the event of an emergency, such as a gas leak, we offer a next day delivery service. Some areas also have pick-up points with a small stock of cylinders for such situations.

• 24/7 Emergency Access: While we do not offer 24/7 delivery, customers can collect gas from our emergency stock cage at our yard at any time, 365 days a year. All you need is the combination to the lock, ensuring you have access to gas whenever you need it.

Gas Cylinder Safety

At Dyfed Gas, safety is our top priority. We are committed to ensuring that all our gas cylinders meet the highest safety standards, from rigorous testing to proper handling and storage.

Cylinder Safety and Testing

All our gas cylinders are rigorously tested every 10 years by a UKAS-accredited testing house. Additionally, each cylinder is inspected for defects before every fill to ensure it reaches you in optimal working condition. Each cylinder will have the test date stamped into the collar and a plastic disc around the valve neck indicating the expiry or retest date. Our team ensures that every cylinder is ‘in test’ at the time of filling.

In case you encounter a cylinder that is not ‘in test’, do not connect it. Call our office immediately, and we will arrange for a replacement as soon as possible.

CO2 Detector Alarms

We strongly recommend fitting a CO2 alarm in every cellar. Carbon dioxide is an asphyxiant, and in large quantities or confined spaces, it can be extremely dangerous. Exposure to high concentrations can lead to unconsciousness or even death.

Benefits of CO2 Alarms:

• Alerts you to a CO2 leak before it becomes dangerous.

• Allows you to take appropriate measures promptly.

We are regional suppliers of Analox© CO2 Alarms, available for purchase or monthly rental. Installing these alarms ensures you have an early warning system in place for any potential leaks.

In the event of a gas leak in your cellar, call us or your brewery tech services immediately for advice and assistance.

Best Practices for Cylinder Handling and Use

1. Handling Cylinders:

   • Always handle cylinders with care to avoid dropping or damaging them.

   • Use appropriate equipment, such as cylinder trolleys, to transport cylinders safely.

2. Connecting Cylinders:

   • Ensure the cylinder is ‘in test’ and in good condition before connecting.

   • Follow manufacturer instructions for connecting and using the gas cylinders.

   • Use appropriate regulators and fittings to prevent leaks and ensure safe usage.

Safe Storage of Cylinders

Proper storage of gas cylinders is essential to maintain safety:

1. Secure Storage:

   • Store cylinders in an upright position and secure them with chain brackets to prevent them from falling.

   • If stored horizontally, chock them securely to prevent rolling or obstruction.

2. Ventilation:

   • Store cylinders in well-ventilated areas to prevent the buildup of gas in case of a leak.

   • Keep storage areas free from flammable materials and sources of ignition.

3. Temperature Control:

   • Avoid exposing cylinders to extreme temperatures. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

If you need chain brackets for your cellar, contact our office. For a small fee, we can arrange for our technician to fit new brackets, or you can ask your brewer to fit them.
